The largest part if the German doll character faces by the Kammer & Reinhardt company where realized by sculptors, and, one of them has been Karl Krausser, reproduced the face of Franz Reinhardt nephew in 1909 and used the name HANS.
The face was used for the feminine model GRETCHEN issued from the same mould. The three first models from the 100 serie that start with new born baby, where created by a German sculptor from Berlin.
Most of them are androgyne models as it was usual for the classic ceries.
In the auction of Theriauly’s these dolls has a top price – a 23” model 103 of K&R character girl was sold for $145,600 (pre-sale estimate 80000-120,000 USD).
Ernst Kammer and Franz Reinhardt founded the Kammer and Reinhardt doll company in 1886 in Waltershausen, Germany.

I think in the auction of Theriauly’s these dolls has a top price – a 23” model 103 of K&R character girl was sold for $145,600 (pre-sale estimate 80000-120,000 USD).
Great post. Thanks for an interesting read. I’ve just subscribed to this blog so I’ll be back soon! Cheers
Thanks for your article. The dolls look really pretty and anybody would love to have one in his or her collection, but the price is very high. Anyway, it is an antique after all.
The price is quite expensive..I think it answers the question that we are buying the brand name of that particular doll not the way it looks like.
