Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with extra Dehors articulation that allows the head to tilt coquettishly sideways and forward, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, rose-blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, original mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, very beautiful gown in good condition (full pique skirt and cotton blouse with brown feather embroidery), undergarments, kid leather shoes, small metal purse and small fan with ivory handle.

Very beautiful poupee whose delicately-tinted complexion contrasts her plump cheeks and chin and brilliant blue eyes, rare neck articulation.

14 1/2" (37cm) tall

Condition: generally excellent. Her bisque free of hairline, restoration, any damages, the body in good condition.

French, circa 1867, attributed to Auguste Dehors who deposed his head articulation system in 1866. The Dehors establishment included not only himself but also his wife, Alexandrine Dehors, who was the creator of trousseaux and luxury costumes.
