Antique Early French Paper Mache Doll in Traditional Normandy Costume

15" (38 cm.) Solid domed papier-mache shoulder head of slender-faced lady,painted facial features,azure blue eyes,black upper eyeliner,feathered brows,accented nostrils of aquiline- shaped nose,closed mouth,prim lips,brunette human hair chignon is inserted in the center of her head. Her head underneath the hair is painted black.
She has pink-kid firmly-stuffed poupee body with shapely torso.

Condition: generally excellent.
French,circa 1850.

Value Points: the beautiful doll has all-original finish with nicely-detailed dainty facial features,and wears her original Normandy traditional costume with blue woolen dress and lace shawl,undergarments,slippers,and very elaborate original coiffe traditional for this region of France.
She is 15" (38 in) tall without the hat.
