Rare Early French Poupees Sac du Voyage

Very rare travelling bag for Parisienne french fashion dolls by Maison Giroux!
The name of Giroux is a label of quality, synonymous with extraordinary, luxurious items, full of refinement, of elegance. A name associated with the pure Parisian french fashion way and modernity relevance. The travelling bag of this company today rarely seen.
You can find photo of this model in the book of Francois Theimer "The Panorama of Parisienne dolls", the chapter about Maison Giroux, page 356.

Known as sac du voyage in France, or carpet bag in America, the traveling valise was a classic style of the 1860 era.
This rare model of sac du voyage has rectangular - shaped firm base with green paper and fabric cover with brass studs, the base can be opened separately from the green leather top. The valise has brass clasp and chine strap, a boutique label on the bottom "Lemonnon,Blanchon Succ,Depot de Poupees Articulees, rue St.Pierre,15, Lyon".

France, circa 1870.

Measures - 4 1/2" (12 cm) length, 2 5/8" (6,5 cm) wide, 5" (12,5 cm) height.
Condition - Good condition to age, some wearing because age (please look photos).
