Small Earliest Period French Bisque Bebe by Jules Steiner w/Rare Closed Mouth, model C 3/0
Very rare tiny size of the early period Steiner bebe which is, in itself extremely rare to find, has most beautiful delicate bisque with rich decoration around the eyes,with beautiful delicately blushed complexion.
Bisque socket head with very pale bisque and rounded plump face, blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked brows with feathered detail, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with richly-accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over pate, Steiner composition body, straight wrists, open fingers, very beautiful antique costume and hat, underwear, antique socks and shoes.
Condition: her bisque is generally excellent, free of hairline and any damages.
The body in good condition, buy has been repeinted.
Marks: Sie C 3/0. Jules Steiner, circa 1877.
