12 1/2" (32 cm.) Rare French Polichinelle doll in Original Costume

Papier-mache socket head, brown glass inset eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,shaded and accented lips, porcelain teeth,composition and wooden five piece body. Condition: generally excellent. 3/0 on the back head.
France, c.1900.
Value Points: wonderfully preserved model with costume of red and ivory silk trimmed with silk ribbons,metallic fringe,cap,leather shoes.
