13" (33 cm.) Wonderful French Automaton depicting a young girl pulling cart by Roullet and Descamps. Large luxury model with exceptional original costume. Earlier quality Jumeau head with open mouth, glass paperweight eyes, and beautifully painted features. Typical mechanical body with lower composition arms and legs. Original and well-preserved wooden cart. Original key. When wound girl walks forward pulling cart. Functions well. Excellent condition. Circa 1898.
