15" (37 cm) Very Beautiful French Bisque Jumeau Fashion Lady Doll from Au Paradis des Enfants

Very lovely fashion doll! Bisque socket head on shoulder plate, beautiful face with feathered eyebrows, painted upper and lower eyelashes, black eyeliner, blue enameled glass eyes, pierced ears, with earrings, closed mouth with lip shading strokes, cork pate, human hair wig. Sturdy white kid fashion body with gusseted joints.

Marks: Au Paradis des Enfants,Perreau Fils 156 Rue Rivoli,1 Rue du Louvre (stamp on torso), 1. The doll was commissioned from Jumeau by the prestigious Parisian toy store, Au Paradis des Enfants,circa 1867; the store presented only the most luxurious dolls and playthings to its society clientele.

Excellent condition! No hairlines, restoration, etc.
