15" (38 cm) Beautiful German Bisque Closed Mouth Child Doll,137,by Mystery Maker

Solid domed bisque socket head with flattened solid dome,brown glass inset eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with defined space between the accented lips, pierced ears, mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists,antique original dress and hat,undergarments, antique silk stockings, old shoes. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 137 9.
Germany, Sonneberg,circa 1885,the doll resembles early French bebes and was made to compete with that market.
