16" (41 cm) Very Rare Antique Italian Felt Doll Anili, from 400 Series by Lenci, c.1926.

Wonderful doll by Lenci, from her short-lived 400 series, made for 3 years only. This example marketed under the name Anili was the first of the series, 1926.

She retains her wonder hair and facial expression, has felt swivel head with elongated slender face and throat, pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, side painted lashes, one stroke brows, closed mouth with full pouty lips, blonde ringlet curls tumbling overall, elongated muslin torso.
The doll wearing original costume comprising of green felt jacket over organdy multi-tiered skirt with green and black felt stripes. Wonderful black silk hat, vintage leather shoes.

Very good condition to age.
