Very beautiful creamy bisque enhanced by deeply sculpted features, original body. Bisque socket head,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,lushly-painted lashes, brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, dimpled chin, human hair wig over original cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body,very nice woolen original checkered dress,undergarments,cotton bonnet, vintage leather shoes.

Condition:
The head has a hairline on the left side of the forehead.

Marks: "D" and number 6.
16" (41 cm) tall.

Emile Jumeau,circa 1890,from the series of commissioned bebe for Paris department and doll stores,the store indicated by the initial "D"remains a mystery.
