19" (48 cm) Wonderful Antique French Fashion Bisque Doll by Gaultier, Size 5

Beautiful bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, lovely blue glass enamel inset eyes with paperweight-like depth, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, wonderful original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French poupee lady body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows, stitched and separated fingers, nicely costumed in patterned ivory silk gown, tulle lace bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes.

Condition: generally excellent. No hairlines, restoration, etc. Marks: 5. F. Gaultier, circa 1875.
