19" (48 cm) Antique French Type Belton type German Doll, c.1880

Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, very full cheeks, closed mouth, space between the outlined lips,peaches and cream complexion, mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. She is wearing beautiful antique dress with lace trim, along with undergarments, stockings, shoes, lace bonnet.

Excellent condition, perfect bisque head with no damage and no repairs, original body and body finish. Sonneberg, for the French market, the doll closely resembles early French portrait bebes, circa 1880.
