20" Rare French Bisque Bebe Doll E.D. by Douillet for Emile Jumeau, original body

Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted features, closed mouth with richly shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely costumed wit original antique aqua woolen dress, antique original boots ans socks. She has cotton underwear (new made).

Marks: E. 8 D. Excellent condition, very faint short hairline at top crown rim, original body and body finish. She is 20" (51 cm.)

Emile Jumeau, circa 1890, the bebe bears the initials of the Jumeau long-time trusted employee Douillet, and is a rare model Jumeau to find.
