Wonderful all original presentation of Polichinelle, with cotton, lace and gilt metallic elaborate costume and cap, stockings and shoes. Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig in elaborate curls, carton torso, wire upper arms, straw-filled arms and legs in sewn-on original flowered cotton costume, beautiful porcelain hands.

Condition: generally excellent. Marks: x 5.

For the luxury French trade,circa 1890, with bisque head by Jumeau. Having especially pretty face and fine bisque, the doll has original Polochinelle costume with pom-poms, ruffled lace collar, cap, and original attached cording for play.
