Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, painted brown side-glancing eyes with brown eyeliner and eye lashes, white eyedots, dark brown painted brows, closed mouth with shaded lower lip, pale blonde mohair wig with long ringlet curls, felt body with slender torso, elongated slender arms and legs, wears original vibrantly-colored felt costume adorned with felt flowers, striped felt skirt, white organdy bodice, sleeves, apron and pantalets, hose, matching felt slippers with pink felt ties, white organdy ruffled cap covered by jaunty felt hat generously adorned with felt trims, flowers and bows.
This doll shown in Lenci the 1925/1926 catalog as model 165-1 Bergere (translation Sheperdess). She had a flower basket and stick. Her costume has been designed by italian artist Dudovich.
All-original doll in very good condition to age.
