Very fine quality of sculpting, bisque and painting!
A bisque head with slender face and elongated throat has blue glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, widely arched brush-stroked brows with fringed detail, rose-blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners,shaded nostrils, closed mouth with heart-shaped outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, antique human hair wig and vintage bonnet.

Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: Bru Jne 1-12 A.

Leon Casimir Bru, who advertised mannequin model heads in the Parisian L'Annuaire du Commerce, circa 1880.
The head was designed to be displayed on a shop counter as a display piece for stylish wigs or bonnets.
