9" (23 cm) Italian Felt Miniature Doll by Lenci in rare Cossack style costume

Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, painted brown side-glancing googly eyes, painted upper lashes, "O" shaped mouth, brunette mohair wig, felt arms, muslin torso and legs with jointing at shoulders and hips.

Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (black-edged cloth label, and silver paper label pencil marked "Miniature 46"). Comments: Lenci, from the firm's miniature series, circa 1930. Value Points: rare Cossack style costume, the little boy wears teal green felt jacket with orange and brown flowers, brown edged and belt, black short pants, green sewn-on leggings and shoes, white gloves, and little brown cap with black leatherette brim, in wonderfully-preserved vibrant colors.
