A flat cardboard box labeled "The New Folding Dollhouse,Patented Jan 20,1894, McLoughlin Bros, New York" opens to reveal a flat-folded dollhouse, which, when unfolded, opens to reveal a four room open-sided doll house, with kitchen, bedroom,parlor and dining room. The heavy board walls and floors are covered in brilliant lithographed designs to depict wall coverings, windows, draperies, valences, paintings, architectural details and various floor coverings. Excellent condition. A rare American doll house toy in pristine condition. Circa 1894.
