The wooden box with lithographed paper and silk cover has gilt lettering "Toilette Pompadour", and hinges open to reveal a well-fitted interior with paper lining and mirrored back. Inside is a porcelain toilette service, comprising wash bowl and pitcher, 3 covered boxes and jars, metal bowl, two green glass bottles, and a variety of accessories including cologne bottle, powder puff, soap and more...
Antique original label "J Roux Geneve" inside of the box and french trade card Au Bon Marche, the metal clasps are incised Brevete SGDG.
