Rare antique french brown Called "Russian boots" by the Demoiselles of the day due to their elastic sides and tassels at the front above the ankles, this type of boot was extremely popular and frequently mentioned in the fashion press of the time. The pair are made of brown glace kid, with matching elasticized sides, wooden molded heels and rich silk thread tassels.

Made in the Huret manner.

Good condition to age.
