The metal purse with bronze-like finish on the repousse detailing has a silk strip cover and netal medallion with a French waving flags below the words "PARIS Exposition Universelle 1867, Brevete S.G.D.G".

At the Universal Exhibition of 1867 in Paris, JUMEAU company received a silver medal with a "special mention for the head of the dolls". It was also this year that the second son of the founder, Emile-Louis Jumeau, joined the company, which experienced its heyday under his leadership at the end of the 19th C.
