The gown is elaborately yet delicately trimmed with white glass beads edged by handmade white cording with black thread edge and interspersed tiny black beads. There are six handmade tatted medallion designs arranged around the skirt and over-skirt. The workmanship is extremely delicate and refined indicating couturier construction, although unsigned. Circa 1865. Appropriately sized for 16"_17" poupee.
