Antique French Fashion Enfantine Original White Cotton Clothes: Chemise, Skirt and collar for Jumeau, Steiner, Huret, Gaultier
Finely and extremely well done fully hand stitched and early are the best adjectives to use for this small lot of white garments for French fashion dolls of about 17 - 18" (43 - 46 cm) tall, circa 1860. The workmanship is certainly good enough for a Huret-quality trousseau. 1/ Antique original cotton chemise with long sleeves has small collar, very narrow tucks at the front, closure at the front with pearl buttons, red embroidered monogram. Very appropriate to be worn under a mode enfantine frock. 2/ Wonderful enfantine cotton skirt has pleated hem, white embroidered tine flowers, very narros tucks, adjusting on the waist with white cord. MEASURES - The chemise measures 9" (23 cm) long at the front and 10 1/2" (27cm) long at the back, 5" (13 cm) shoulders, 5 1/2" (14cm) sleeve. The skirt 7 1/2" long at the front and 9 1/2" (24cm) long at the back. The blouse measures 7 1/4" long (18 cm), shoulders 4 1/2" (12 cm), 5 1/2" (14 cm) sleeve, 12" (30 cm) chest circumference. The white pique collar has white cutowrk embroidery, rounded neckline, closure at the front with two small pearl buttons and decorated with silk flowers. Excellent original condition!
