Wonderfully amusing pull-toy in perfectly preserved original condition!
Standing upon a four wheeled wooden platform is a bisque-headed doll with glass eyes, open mouth, mohair wig, marked "502 17/0",wearing original costume meant to represent the Brittany country region.
She is standing behind flannel covered duck with glass eyes. When pulled along the woman turns head from side to side, waves arms, and the duck quacks.
Condition: generally excellent. The doll head free of hairline, restoration, any damages. Her original costumne in good condition, except her brown woolen skirt (small mole holes at the back because age). the small duck in excellent condition.
Measues Height 14" (35 cm), the length 12" (30cm) and the wide 4 1/4" (11cm).
the doll 10 3/4" (27cm) tall including her hat.

French, circa 1890, a series of amusing mechanical vignette toys were created by one firm, as yet unidentified, but all with identical platforms and mechanical systems. Value Points: delightful and well-preserved early toy.
