Antique French Unusual Platform Automaton by Vichy, c. 1890 All Original!

All bisque doll with jointed neck and limbs, moulded shoes, open mouth with teeth (two upper, one lower), fixed brown glass eyes, original wig and colorful silk satin costume, seated side-saddle on leather covered cow, on green-painted metal base with 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm) back wheels and motor stamped "G. Vichy, Paris".

Measures - the length 7 in. (18 cm) nose to tail, height 10 in. (25.5 cm), the wooden platform about 2.2" x 4.5" (5.5 x 11 cm). Very good condition, only minor wear to doll's costume and the cow missing one ear. The girl bounces up and down as the cow rolls forward. Very rare mechanical toy in very good original condition.
