Very beautiful and rare fashion accessory for the Enfantine fashion doll, this wonderful small shawl is fresh and excellent condition. Each line of soutache was hand sewn onto the net lace base with painstaking accuracy, every curve and line produced with delicate needlework and precision.
The cape closure at the front with hook and eye, decorated with small knitted balls .
The piece is from the later part of the Enfantine era, between 1860-70. A spectacular early shawl that could have been used as a collar on a dress or around the shoulders of a beloved doll.

Measurements: 12" (30 cm) wide, 3 1/2" (9cm) height.

Condition: Excellent. Structurally the piece is, not one hole in the net lace backing.
