16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape,small brown glass inset eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented nostrils of tiny nose,closed mouth with delicately-painted lips with center accent line,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body,lovely antique original costume,bonnet,undergarments,leather shoes.
Condition: generally excellent,body is excellent with original finish and appears original albeit unusual style.

No marks, attributed to Jules Steiner,a very early model of his bebe,circa 1877. The rarity of the model is rivaled by its most endearing presence,very beautiful quality of bisque and painting.
