21" (53 cm) Antique French All Original Brown-Eyed Bebe by Emile Jumeau Prodige in factory box, size 9 Antique dolls at Respectfulbear.com

Wonderful all original Bebe Jumeau in her original factory box. "BEBE PRODIGE" (prodigy - engl.) - this is advertising label by Emile Jumeau. He is registered this trademark in 1886.

The doll has a poured bisque socket head with artist check marks, rare mark "D" at the neck, hazel-brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, thick black eyeliner, painted long curly lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, pierced ears, original fully jointed french wood and composition body, wonderful original human hair wig over cork pate.

Size 9. 21" (53 cm) tall.
Emile Jumeau, his bebe marked D. in honor of his longtime employee and then director, Emile Douillet; the doll appeared shortly after Douillet became named director in 1890, but was made for a very short time only.

She is wears an original dotted cotton dress and sailor jacket, straw hat, all original cotton underwear, leather shoes and antique red socks. Excellent condition, her bisque free of hairline, restoration, any damages, the body with an original painting.
