22" (56 cm.) All-carved wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, oval face and elongated throat, painted features with downcast eyes, painted lashes, carved wooden hands, on original attached wooden-dowel framed muslin skirt with carved wooden platform.
Condition: very good overall. Europe, 18th century.
Rare platform, the doll is wearing elaborate original silk brocade costume with embroidered detail, and outstanding early cape with delicate transfer pattern.
