Rare Montanari fine large size and very beautiful antique wax doll.
Poured-wax shoulder head with plump facial modeling, light blue enamel inset eyes with darker outer rims, heavily-modeled eyelids, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pensive expression, human hair wig with delicate inserted tendrils, brass edging of sew holes, softly stuffed muslin body with shapely-waist allowing for presentation of lady costume, poured wax arms and legs, bare feet.
Wonderful doll wearing superb original costume,including chemise, petticoat and split-leg drawers, stockings and white leather antique shoes, matching straw hat bonnet.

Condition: generally excellent,very minor typical wax rubs.
