This is a beautiful and VERY rare French fashion doll, which dates circa 1865. Only about 100 of these G&P fashion dolls were able to be produced, bearing these initials.
She measures 11 inches (28cm) tall and her original kid body is in very good condition and very firmly stuffed.
Incised with G 1 P, under the leather at the front.

Beautiful, flawless pale bisque with cobalt blue large almond shaped painted eyes. Hand painted eyebrows, dots to nose, and painted closed mouth. Rose blushed cheeks. Daintily painted upper and lower lashes. Antique or original cork pate with antique original mohair wig . Antique original socks, underwear, silk dress, broosh.
A fabulous and very rare French fashion doll is a magnificent size!
