The lid hinges open to reveal a well- fitted interior with various stationery materials designed for child̴s play,viz. pen,lining stick,glass ink well,glass talcum bottle,two blue boxes with raised design of bird with letter in his beak (one containing miniature faux- stamps,one with extra pen nibs),a variety of miniature envelopes ,matching writing papers,. Excellent condition,a rare deluxe stationery set for a privileged child. French,circa 1880.
