Pressed bisque socket head, very large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted dark lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over work pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body, straight wrists.

Condition: generally excellent. No chips, hairlines or restorations, original body finish.

Marks: Depose E. 8 J. (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris. (body).

Emile Jumeau, circa 1882. Very beautiful wide-eyed bebe has fine luminous bisque, richly-painted features, original body finish, and wearing absolutely wonderful fine original costume., bonnet, underwear, red cotton socks and vintage leather shoes with red silk rosettes.
