Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, dark painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined shaded lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body.

Condition: generally excellent, original body finish, her bisque free of hairline, restoration or any damages.

Marks: 11 and artist checkmarks (head), Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body).
24" (62 cm) tall.

Emile Jumeau, circa 1890,Bebe Reclame, created under commission for various Parisian department stores of the era such as Au Bon Marche and Samaritaine.

An unusually expressive face for this model, the smaller eye cuts are accentuated by their great depth; the bebe has original dress, leather shoes and original factory socks, underwear, straw hat, glassbeads, original Jumeau box.
