Bisque socket head with flattened solid pate, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the pale outlined lips, pierced ears, mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, nice antique original blue woolen costume, underwear, antique bonnet and original shoes.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Sonneberg, mystery maker, circa 1885, the model closely resembles the early French bisque portrait bebe whose market the doll aimed to capture. 11" (27 cm) tall Very fine quality of bisque and painting, appealing expression, original body and body finish. ------------------------------------ I DO A LAYAWAY.
