Antique French Horse Racing Game with original Paris Bazar Label! Antique dolls at Respectfulbear.com

This is a great collectible antique racing game with original label of GRZND BAZAR DE L'HOTEL DE VILLE PARIS

The piece is called Jeu De Course made by M J & Cie, France and is a spring mechanism mechanical horse racing game that dates around the 1930’s.

In lovely working order, the lever has a simple yet sure action that rotates the various horses around the track. The movement is nice and smooth!

All horses/ jockeys are present and in good order, the hand painted detail is good, has BUT sign, flag and pole, there doesn’t appear to be anything missing from the game itself!

The green fabric top is good condition, no nasty tears or damage! The base appears to be made of wood, this is still solid and secure. The base is covered with a black vinyl paper like material, has a gold paper trim detail, the box covers in very good condition.

We see the game Jeu de Course crop up with reasonable regularity but generally the condition is poor, with the felt base damaged or missing, broken legs on the horses and flag missing. This one appears to be much better with apparently very good condition with original label!
