A charming original antique doll dress in red cotton, distinguished by its rare and wonderfully imaginative pictorial print.
The fabric features Eiffel Towers and hot-air balloons together with a lively procession of whimsical little figures wearing hats and carrying canes. Printed in black and cream against the red ground, the design has a delightful Parisian character. A striking Greek-key border completes the scene around the skirt.

The pattern has been thoughtfully incorporated into the dress, with an Eiffel Tower prominently centred on the bodice and the figurative border displayed around the full, gathered skirt. The fitted bodice is detailed with vertical stitched pleats and a small gathered section at the centre front. Long sleeves with wide cuffs and a broad pointed collar edged with white scalloped trim complete the silhouette. the dress closure at the back with three pearl buttons.
