Rare antique original aqua silk gown with super puffed sleeves and high waist this awesome dress is from around 1830.
The early gown is of meticulous construction,featuring tight cartridge pleats at upper arms,cuffs, fitted waist. gathered full bodice, narrow yoke with corded detail, full gathers below held by self-fabric belt, cording at neckline, very full gigot sleeves corded at seamline and cuffs, closure at the back with pearl buttons, hook and eye. The fabric is a superb aqua color with narrow ribbing that is beautifully positioned on the costume.
Fully hand stitched.
Excellent condition to age.
Paris, c. 1830.
