Rare German bisque doll with Original Japan silk costume, model 1079 DEP by Simon and Halbig for the French Market. She has a lovely cabinet size 15" (38 cm.) Circa 1900.

Very unusual doll! She has bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, black mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing lovely silk kimono, woven cap, shoes, stockings, undergarments, pom-pom earrings.

Marks: SH 1079-6 DEP. Excellent condition, original body and body finish. Simon and Halbig, circa1900.Made For the French Market
