43" (110 cm.) A cast metal fire screen has an elaborate four-legged pedestal base supporting a frame with scroll frame crest,and is finished in a rich gold leaf. The frame encloses an embroidered canvas with a design of wild flowers,and which can be pivoted this way or that to shield a person from fireplace heat. The fire screen was a unique design of Maison Huret,always created with distinctive spiral twist of the legs,pedestal and frame.
