French Creole lady antique black bisque socket head doll, she wears a wonderfully detailed plaid printed cotton, island costume with matching headdress and nice gold bead necklace. She has a swivel head with delicate features including dark black glass, inset eyes, open mouth with tiny teeth, nice cheek blush and charming, thick black mohair wig in elaborate setting covered by her plaid printed, cotton headdress. She is marked in an oval: UNIS/FRANCE over 60 (incised on the back of her head) and has her original matching, five-piece dark brown composition and wooden body.
