Bisque socket head, very plump cheeks, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body, straight wrists, lovely antique costume and ruffled bonnet, undergarments, socks, Jumeau leather shoes.

Condition: good condition, only very fine factory firing defect on upper forehead (please look photo).

Emile Jumeau,circa 1884,from the commissioned sculpture by Carrier-Belleuse,the model known as Bebe Triste in reference to her wistful expression. Rare size of the beloved model has especially beautiful painting around the eyes,original body and body finish.
