MAGNIFICENT ALL ORIGINAL ANTIQUE FRENCH MINIATURE WALNUT SEWING ETUI / TOILETTE NECESSAIRE!
VERY RARE and EXQUISITE accessory item for your french fashion POUPEE!
The walnut opens at the center with gold-mounts and red silk lining on the inside lid with gold letters BREVETTE S.TG.D.G. The base has gold cover and is fitted with slits for the original sewing tools which it holds. The set including 4 sewing tools and fabulous miniature glass parfume or scent bottle with original hinged lid, measuring a tiny 2 " (5cm) tall and 3/8" (0.9cm) in diameter across the bottom.
The set is not complete! Some sewing tolls (about 3-4) has been lost.

Miniature etuis were novelty items in the latter half of the nineteenth century, and Victorians loved to use AUTHENTIC WALNUTS such as this one as the case to house tiny sewing items, miniature toys and dolls as well as toilette necessaires, and hard to find in ALL ORIGINAL condition such as this is is in!

The real Spanish walnut measuring 3" (8 cm) length and 2 1/2" (6.5cm) tall when closed; it does close securely.
