An all original spilt head, Mad Alice, wax over papier mache doll, English circa 1850, with black inserted glass eyes, moulded and delicately painted features, original hair, a closed smiling mouth and wearing an original cotton dress (fully hand stitched) and wire framed hat, underwear, socks and leather shoes. She has a linen stuffed body, the lower arms covered with muslin with lace insertion , her leather fingers a little damaged because age.
