A charming original antique doll’s dress in a classic red-and-white sailor style.
The top is made of finely knitted red wool, with full sleeves gathered into fitted cuffs, a red-and-white striped chest insert, and a traditional square sailor collar trimmed with wide white braid. A little red-and-white cord tie completes the neckline.
The pleated skirt is made of a substantial, closely woven white fabric, possibly linen. It is sewn directly to the lower edge of the wool top, making this a one-piece dress with the appearance of a two-piece sailor outfit.
Lovely details and a striking colour combination make this a delightful addition to an antique doll’s wardrobe.

Good consition to age.
