The beautiful early Barrois dhoulderhead fashion doll has threaded cobalt blue eyes,delicate tint to cheeks and lips over pale, even bisque. She has a magnificent articulated and rare Alexis Herbillon luxury kid over wood body well movable has dowel articulation at shoulders , elbows , hips and knees. Pare Fashion dolls with Herbillon body was sold at this times in the famous Paris Doll Store " Au Calife de Bagdad " (the store of Alexis Frederic and Marie Anne Herbillon). This is the respected Parisian doll shop that offered finest dolls and their objects from 1852-1866.
This doll is contemporary to the lovely Huret in period. She is in a class of high end and rare dolls.
CONDITION: This rare example is in superb condition having a clean and fully functional body.
