Wonderful all original Blampoix Senior fashion doll with porcelain pink-tinted shoulder head has a very plump rounded face, large blue glass enamel inset eyes enhanced by dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with primly-set lips, unpierced ears, mohair wig in original braided chignons at the back of her head, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, porcelain arms to above the elbows.
Condition: generally excellent.

The doll wearing her original green and white stripped cotton day dress comprising top and skirt, white cotton chemise, cotton petticoat and drawers, straw hat and vintage leather shoes.

Condition: generally excellent. Her bisque free of hairline, restoration, any damages.
Her original body in very good condition.

The doll signed B 2 S on the shoulderplate rim and have the patented enamel eyes.
This mark B.S. - for Blampoix Senior (Claude Joseph).

Claude Blampoix, circa 1857. He is registered this depose for glass eyes in 1855. the doll exhibits a beautiful example of the glass enamel eyes whose use he deposed in 1855 court filings noting "which has never been done thus far".
Joseph Blampoix, Aine (Senior) was born 1812. He was elder brother of Francois Blampoix, Jeune.
