Beautiful original antique French bonnet for a bebe doll, dating from the late 19th century. The bonnet is made of delicate antique lace and tulle, richly gathered around the face, and adorned with a large lilac silk satin bow and rosette. The crown is especially lovely, with alternating panels of fine lace.

It has been carefully starched and holds its shape beautifully, preserving the full, elegant silhouette clearly visible in the photographs.
A very elegant and increasingly rare original period accessory, perfect for completing the costume of a fine antique French bebe.

Condition:

excellent antique condition, especially considering the age and delicacy of the materials. The lace is remarkably well preserved, and the bonnet displays beautifully on an antique French Bebe.
