This original paper dress of Extremely Rare Paper dress from Tagilioni set - French c.1835.
Featuring Marie Taglioni, the renowned ballerina of the European Romantic era, was born in Sweden, rose to prominence in Italian and Parisian ballets, beginning in 1832 in La Sylphide in which she danced the entire performance en pointe. She retired from performing in 1847 but remained a guiding spirit of the Paris Ballet for several decades more.
This highlight costume from her most famous performance, and this is from the the rare luxury set "Tagilioni" (please look the last photo from the Theriault's book "Paper dolls").
